Music Theory: a semester course at Richmond High School
If you are interested in taking Music Theory as a semester course, check out the information here! No experience necessary to learn to read or write music. We use a variety of methods (computers, worksheets, hands-on activities) to learn to read and write music. This is a NON-Performance class, however if you do play an instrument you may be welcome to play any music you create on that instrument.
If you are currently in a music class like guitar, band, or choir, this class will help you continue to develop music reading and writing skills. We go more in-depth about the subjects like note names, key signatures, chords, etc. If you do not know how to read music, the goal is to get everyone reading and understanding the function of music. This is a class for everyone!

Music Literacy Level Practice & Tests
As your teacher for the criteria for your assignment.

Directions:
1. Click on the level that you want to attempt. It will take you to a new page where your music literacy skills will be tested.
2. When you have finished, click the circular "information" button in the upper right hand corner, then click SHOW PROGRESS REPORT.
3. Simply type your name and hit SIGN. This generates a unique verification code for your score.
5. Copy and paste the verification code into the CONTACT FORM for your teacher, filling in the Name/Class/Level fields, check the box indicating whether you passed the level or were attempting it, and hit SUBMIT. (You should see the text "Way to go!" appear after clicking submit.)
