Richmond Music Performance Grade Self-Evaluation Rubric

Grade yourself in the following areas using the following rubric with a numeric score.   Total your points (100 pts max) at the bottom to give your performance. Feel free to support your assessment in writing using the text box. Your score will be averaged with the teacher’s score. 

    Put a nuemeric score in the box.  Always: 10     Usually: 8-9     Sometimes: 6-7    Rarely: 4-5      Basically Never: 0-3 

    I contributed to the ensemble working with around me in blend and balance, as well as matching musical elements as pitch, articulation, and phrasing. 

    ​I had all my materials for the performance, including, folder and book, music, pencil and instrument/accessories (if applicable). I also wore the appropriate concert attire. 

    I acted with the best behavior possible for the concert setting adhering to my school's expectations of behavior.  My concert etiquette was also outstanding.  I arrived on time. 

    I played with characteristic tone and matched intonation


    I performed with correct, rehearsed phrasing

    I performed with correct, rehearsed dynamics and adjusted through the concert as necessary. 

    I consistently played accurate notes for my part and matched intonation.
